Which one should i go with. Both are 40 bucks apart. If i can achieve OC speeds with my mobo and 8320 than ill choose the 8320, but if my board cant handle a stable OC I might cough up the extra 40 to go with the 8350 box HZ.
Planning on playing games on ultra or high. Games such as BF4, Titanfall, Watch Dogs, and maybe witcher 3 in the future.

I am getting an after market cooler Evo 212. GPU is GTX 770.
i am considering OC if it is worth it.
MOBO is Asus M5A97 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard.

So yeah. Should i go the extra 40 bucks or am i just fine with stick with 8320.

Solution
I can not stress enough that they are the same chip but will the 8320 hit the same speed as the 8350 yes but usually it takes more voltage and produces more heat thats where the binning comes in but with a decent cooler it should mean nothing other than a few degrees but if you have never oc a chip it is an experience if you have no interest in it the 8350 is better for you. But there is no time like the present to learn. Its not like your trying to get a 5.0 ghz speed so you should be fine.
With a decent cooler that chip will oc to 8350 levels guaranteed but it will require a little playing around to get it there and stable. If this does not interest you i would get the 8350 which will give you that bump right away and when your ready will let you oc to probably around 4.5-4.6 and be pretty awesome. The 8320 could do it to just will require more voltage they are essentially the same chip the 8350 is just a higher binned(graded higher)

I'd get the 8350. Not many games are multithreaded well enough to utilize 8 cores. So in order to play on the ultra settings you will need as much single threaded performance you can get. The 8320 will overclock well with that cooler, but the 8350 will overclock better.

i think it is if the 8320 is 99 and the 8350 is 140 but other than that no

So with the board combination and 8320 i should be able to achieve 4.0ghz maybe higher?

So i should go with 8320 then? I did a recheck and found the difference between the two to be around 30 bucks now

Solution
Stick with the 8320, the difference isn't even worth considering, you can put the $30-40 more into an even better cooler/Motherboard (only if you haven't bought one yet) to get even better OC performance. The way we are heading, the FX 8320/50 will be a better alternative over the 4th gen i5's.

I'm staying away from the intel chips. Not bc I don't like them. It's that the amd fx's suit my budget and needs perfectly

Thanks. So if I did get 8320 but put the extra money for a better mobo like some people are suggesting. What should I look at?
