Cannot see the contents of SDHC card.

I have a laptop and i scanned my SDHC card for viruses which detected 5 issues. It now detects the SDHC card and also show that the some space in the card is occupied but does not display any data inside the card when card is accessed through laptop. Although in camera the images as well as videos are visible.

Plug the camera into the laptop USB and copy off the pictures/videos you want using the camera as a card reader. Format the SDHC card with the cameras built in format utility. Take a picture and then try and read the card in your laptops card reader.

When you say your virus scan detected 5 issues were they viruses or read issues. If they were viruses (false positive?) do you allow others to read the card in their computers?

Works on a friends computer. The SDHC card got infected from his computer only.


Those issues were viruses only. No read issue.

we'll I've found a solution for my problem. It was the virus that changed the attributes of the files present in the SDHC. I had to unmark "Hide protected operating system files in folder option"(windows 8). And then i could see the contents back in the card.
