HI all,
I've been looking for a graphics card for quite some time and I'm pretty set in my budget.
HOWEVER... two fairly similar cards, both costing the exact same have me confused.
which should I get, the sapphire R7 250x 1gb or sapphire R7 250 boost 1gb? There's also an
MSI R7 250 OC 1gb for slightly more.
Thanks in advance.

If you can afford a R7 265 then i must say you go for the R9 270 It will just cost you about 20$ more but it a lot lot lot more powerful.
It will leave the R7 265 and 750 ti in dust.
Btw R7 265 will give you almost 5 fps more than the 750ti.
But still go for R9 270, it will be future prooff.

Thanks, I was looking at that card earlier. I wish I could spend more but I don't really have an income, teenage kid here :p the gt640 is more in my price range if that's any better than the 250 boost.

Hmmmm, I'm not too sure about overclocking graphics cards. I'd like to keep any warranties I can get. Then again it's such a low percentage overclock I doubt it would fail on me. I'll most likely save up for the gtx 750 or even a r7 260x if it's worth it.

Yeah my advice would be to save your money and save yourself from disappointment. I have a GTX 750ti Superclocked an it is definitely an enty-level card. I'm okay with the performance I get from it but for a couple hundred more I could be on the top tier of graphics cards very easily. I imagine anything lower than the card I have an the only games you'd be playing would be Minecraft, WoW, or some other very simple game.

If you can save for the two it will be the best option.
750ti and 260x both are very capable cards.
Although I am an AMD fan, still i would recommend you to go with the 750ti beacause of higher value per $.
I would not lead you to disappointment by recommending 260X over the 750ti.

I suppose those cards are in that graphics card "sweet spot" for gaming. I like the specs of the 750ti, but I could get 2 free games with 'Radeon Rewards' if I go with the 260x (which is cheaper here)
Edit: Also the Sapphite R7 265 Dual-X is the same cost as the 750 ti where I am, what's your pick from those two?
