A video card to max out Watch Dogs!

Hi to everyone. My current PC is
Intel Core i5 2500 box 3.3Ghz, 6mb cache with a Zotac GeForce GTX 560 1Gb.

I want to get a GTX 770 4 gb to max out Watch Dogs, will it handle or should i aim at 780 3 gb?
The reason is that in my country a GTX 770 4 gb costs 550$, while a GTX 780 3 gb costs around 700$. What are your thoughts on this?

770 is enough to max out Watchdogs already and run smoothly

A Gtx 770 will play watchdogs on 37fps average on as single monitor, a Gtx 780 on 52.5 both @max settings.
Also there is no point in buying a 4Gb version of the Gtx 770 unless you plan on SLI later.

I would wait a little while watch dogs is having problems patches should fix it but it seems that it will take a 780 ti to max it out but i would wait to see if it gets optimized.

The 770 will perform good as well. But of course the 780 will be better.

This video shows the average FPS in Watch Dogs with the 780. Average fps on ULTRA 1080p is 47 fps.. The 770 will be a little lower, probably 30-40 fps. So it's up to you!

The difference between the Gtx 770 and Gtx 780 will be a bit less then this ofc, but I would go for the Gtx 780 if you want it to run smooth on max settings.

I would wait until Watch Dogs is MUCH CHEAPER. I've beat the game and I am utterly bored, especially in multiplayer. It was a complete waste of $60. Save your worries for a real game and don't be too concerned about playing this one any time soon.

In short, the game was waaaay over hyped, car physics and mechanics are terrible, hacking is overly simple and you cannot jump or shoot from cars - while all your enemies can.

Guys, really want you to consider the price aswell. 550$ for GTX 770 or 700$ for GTX 780. If GTX 770 gives me 5 FPS less than GTX 780, then its not a big deal. I plan to play it in 1080p, so what do you say?

the gtx 770 is a great card it should destroy watch dogs the only problem is the game is extremely vram hungry and any card with less than 3gb is gonna have a hard time but will still play it very well.

Gtx 770 will run it but on max it won't be super smooth but you can adjust some settings and make it run smooth.

too bad this review doesn't include the gtx 770 but it should be on par with the r9 280 (a bit better I think)

that should help out a lot in watch dogs it really seems to be the first game at 1080p where vram matters.

So in the end, is paying extra 150$ worth to get GTX 780? And if so, is there a chance it will run Witcher 3 on max setting in 1080p and the future next gen title games? Because i don't wanna get another card after 2 years.

Give it a little while until its patched and see. Looks like its massively unoptimized at the moment, some people are struggling with 290x's and 780 Ti's.

yeah i can crank it up to txaax4 but it will drop to like 40 and its just to jarring i will wait for a patch but unfortunately by then i will probably be done with the game

Its really amazing, but looks like the graphics aren't near the level they were at E3 2012. In fact, i hardly see any differences between your quality of graphics from the video to mine in the game (i play at medium).

If you were gaming all the way since 2002 through PS2, etc you would consider 30 FPS as REALLY smooth already. Unless your smooth means 50+ FPS then no.
