Okay so let me first tell what my computer is currently made of and the year of purchase

Motherboard: ASUS P7H55-M LX(2011)
CPU: Intel Core i3 550(2011)
RAM: 1x 4GB G. Skill Ripjaws DDR3 1333(2013)
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 OC Ed(2014)
PSU: Seasonic M12II 620W Bronze(2014)
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit(2011)

So yesterday I bought another stick of the SAME(same product code, same specs) ram so to make it 2x 4GB

First test: Both old and new rams are inserted

Result: Reboots before reaching the mobo logo boot up(BIOS is not accessible)

Second test: new ram only inserted

Result: Reboots on windows logo(the windows starting logo)

I can assure you that both of the ram slots are working because I tried inserting my old stick of ram on both slots and resulted in a successful boot up

And my BIOS is up to date

So do you guys think that the new ram is incompatible with my mobo?

Or is the new ram just faulty?

Thanks in advance

Its the same exact same ram like the old one

The old one works perfectly

The old ram even passed memtest86

While the new ram is stuck on 14% progress of test 1, and 0% Pass progress

His Mainboard only has 2 sockets, so that eliminates your query...and he already has 1 module which works fine, so installing a 2nd "identical" module should be no issue

It can't be compatible if its the same as the original stick.

I have a feeling that the new stick is faulty. Is it brand new?

If you take out your old one and just put the new one in its place, does it work OK?

Try Memtest (downloads to a usb that runs without the OS running) with both sticks plugged in plugged in.

When I tried asking for a replacement, they first tested it and told me that its working fine(they used memtest86 to test it)

I didnt even see that it passed the test
They just told me it passed

But when I tested it when I got home, it's stuck at 14% on test 1
