I have Started Building

Myself, My first time

Building a PC,

Everything is down on

Paper,and Im doing

Research. I have the

Rosewill Blackhawk Ultra

Gaming Super Tower

Computer Case, Supports

up to HPTX, Comes with 8

fans, and I really Love

the HDD Docking on top.

and in fact it can

handle 2 Power Supplys.

which I was thinking

either the Rosewill !

1600w or Lightning

1300w,but since it does

not have a side window I

could not see the 1300w

lit up, what do You

sugest on the Power

supply?, Im going with

the Gigabyte GA
990FXA-UD7 AM3+ SB950

SATA 6gb/s USB 3.0

Extended ATX AMD

Motherboard, will it

handle 32gb (4x8) 240-

pin DDR3 sdram-2133MHz

Desktop Memory?, with

the Amd FX-9590 Octa-

Core (8 core) 4.70 GHz

(5.0GHz Turbo) * core

AMD3+ CPU Processor.?

and what Video Card woud

be the best option for

this setup? and Im going

with 2 R9 290X video

cards

More about : started building time building paper research

Why would you pick a slow AMD room heater for a performance rig? You don't need anywhere near a 1300w supply. If you went with a 4770k and dual 290x's then a great 750 or any good quality 850 would do just fine.

Seems like this build is just wasting money rather than looking for performance.

yea but a 750w/850w will be running at its max and be less eficiant the ax1200i would be perfect for this build a 750 would just die

I guess I was used to more 780 ti builds and Intel processors. Since this is using AMD gear exclusively I guess the lower performance for more heat and energy usage is a star feature of AMD. Those 290x's sure can suck back the power.

So I guess my suggestion would be a 750 or 850 watt supply with dual 780 ti cards and a 4770k instead. Less power, less heat, better performance.

So just get 780's then. Still faster and better. The 32GB of RAM seems like a complete waste for a gaming rig. 8GB is plenty and 16GB is overkill already. It's not like budget seems to be the problem, but overkill design that wastes money instead.

But you are the one that said it was a budget limitation, so switching out to the 780's with the 4770k would yield a far better gaming experience than leaving that dog AMD heat pump in there while leaving the price similar.
