Hey guys i've been doing alot of research about the Nvidia GPU boost 2.0 and what it does. I just want to ask you folks to just be more clearer and remove this "Overclocking destruction" fear of mine when i buy the Nvidia Palit GTX 750ti StormX dual 2GB edition. I see something on it's packaging that it relies on the GPU boost 2.0 technology. And i know the GPU boost increases your GPU's performance in games but, Does it OVERCLOCK it? I'm afraid on destroying my Video card and i hate Overclocking.
Thanks

Yes the card essentially overclocks itself. However this depends on the cards temperature. If the card is running cooler under load the card increases the GPU's clock speed until it hits 80 degrees C. I can assure you that because the cards temperarure is directly linked to the clock speed that you have no cause for concern and your warranty will cover you should something go wrong.

Thats GPU boost 1.0, GPU boost 2.0 adjusts the frequency to suit the temperature of the card not the load. Basically if the card is below 80 degrees under load it will increase the clock speed until it hits 80 degrees C. So the cooler that you can keep your card the higher the clock speed will be.

So you're saying.. If i adjust my GPU temp reach for example: 65C it will decrease the clock speed until it goes low enough and go back up?
I need a little more deeper information because i'm really scared to destroy my hard earned cash based PC.
