Can i replace laptop cpu for other more powerful?

Solution
If you can get that for $50 and sell yours for $25...would the gain be worth $25? Probably depending on your budget. I would like to tell you to go ahead and get the p9700 which you definitely notice, but I don't know if it would be bad advice. If you could afford to blow up the laptop... then go for it. I've upgraded older ibm thinkpads to the max and never had an issue. But I could afford to loose it. My friend has had it for like 4 years and it is still running strong.
