Hello.

My sister has a 2-yr old computer that she used for her schooling. Now she needs files that she can use for work but she can't remember the password. The BIOS is also password protected.
I have tried all the forums suggestions on how to bypass the password: Safe Mode, OphCrack, CMOS battery reset, backdoor password... like I said I tried everything except for Formatting the Disk.

Another attempt was to connect the hard drive to an external hard reader to get the old files out but it reads as Corrupted/Unreadable. I tried the chkdsk on cmd.exe but no luck. Please note that I am able to run the hard drive normally and see all the way to the Windows Login Screen. So I don't think it's corrupted.

Any help is highly appreciated!

She said she can't remember if she did. Oh boy, she really needs to remember the password if that is the case :(
