My opinion! Watch Dogs has proven that more cores is better in future games (that are probably also cross platform to the multi-core consoles).

would a water cooler be better such as the Thermaltake Water 2.0 Performer 81.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler?

Do not buy a low end water cooler. They are a waste of money. Air coolers have great value for their prices. Only buy a water cooler if u r building a very high end overclocking machine. High end water coolers are the only choice.
