I am able to pull 30-50 fps with my setup on 1920x1080, Ultra, and 2xTXAA (high textures, only a 2GB card). However after about 30 minutes it crashes from eating up all my RAM. After adding -disablepagefilecheck to the uplay shortcut I dropped "Detail Level" to high and "Temporal SMAA" and am hitting 45-65 fps and was able to play for almost 2 hours without a crash and it still looks really good.

I am almost considering getting another 8GB of ram to see if that helps prevent crashing, but I am holding off till they have time to fix some of the games issues, or I find a killer deal.

Yes, there are several benchmark tests out already from techdepot, forbes, etc. as well as a bunch of gameplay videos on youtube. Those will give you an idea of the performance level you can expect.

As I predicted moths ago, the game isn't nearly as demanding as Ubisoft marketed it to be. To me, the graphics look like GTA4 with a couple of enhanced shadows and rain affects.

Yes, the will run it on High just fine. I have a GTX 680 Graphics Card, A Intel 4770k @3.50 ghz, and 16 GB of RAM. I run it on high just fine. Just be sure to update your NVIDIA drivers to the latest ones.

My conclusion is that it depends on your ram, not your gpu. Right?

Umm, no. CPU and GPU is what helps your game run better in this case. Ram does not affect your performance much. As long as you have 8 or more you're fine.
