I want to buy a new monitor for my PC and PS3. I'll will be soon upgrading my graphics card so I'll be able to play games both on my PC and on the console. On my PC, I'm watching a lot of movies, sometimes reading or even photo editing (just for fun).

Is the Asus VN247H worth it?

Right now I'm playing my PS3 on a 32" Samsung HD TV, and my PC games on a Samsung SyncMaster 740N (about 7 y.o.).

I have found lots of reviews saying that it comes with dead or stuck pixels, also saying that when trying to play on a PS3 it does not work, the monitor turning black. It is said that the only solution is to take out the power plug for about 10 seconds and retrying... What do you think is better for me to buy: this Asus or a Benq RL2455HM? I have heard that the Benq has a terrible ghosting effect on text and lags on web pages but it is very good when gaming(after you find the best color combination)... I am really lost :(

The best gaming monitor is the ASUS VG248QE, which I own, but will be wasted on a ps3 since p3 maxes out @ 60hz. With any monitor you run the risk of dead pixels. I buy mine from Amazon and they have great customer service and let me exchange if there is issues or refund my money. ASUS also has the best warranty imo.

The problem is that I cannot afford the VG248QE. Also, I will be playing on my PS3 only FIFA and GTA and some PS Move games. I'll be mostly playing on my PC. On the other hand, I will probably not buy it from Amazon or eBay since I live in Romania... The chances are that I'll buy the monitor from here.
