At the moment, my GTX 760 is pared with an FX 4300 but I will be upgrading that to an i5 4670k. This isn't about the i5 bottlenecking because I already know that its not going to, I'm wondering how an 4670k would come up against my old CPU in gaming and everyday use. I am certain that the FX 4300 bottlenecked my 760. I usually got good performance but there were occasional moments where I would get pretty bad lag spikes.

I've ran some benchmarks to show the performance I was getting woth the FX 4300:

Minecraft ULTRA 10 Chunks: Avg: 223.895 - Min: 91 - Max: 462

DayZ SA LOW (Textures High): Avg: 35.272 - Min: 0 - Max: 387

Skyrim ULTRA: Avg: 66.146 - Min: 15 - Max: 127

Arma 2 VERY HIGH(tested on 2 different severs): Avg: 23.425 - Min: 7 - Max: 34
Avg: 24.403 - Min: 10 - Max: 41

Battlefield 3 ULTRA: Avg: 74.669 - Min: 0 - Max: 130

All these benchmarks were ran at 1080p, In Skyrim there were lag spikes when I looked in certain areas, In Battlefield 3 I wasn't having any problems on a full server on operation metro after NVIDIA updated there drivers but before that there were also random lag spikes, Arma 2 was unplayable, Minecraft ran fine and DayZ was... DayZ (it ran like shit)

If anyone could tell me how a 4670k would do with a 760 in some of these games that would be amazing!
