I'm trying to overclock my i5-3570k, but I'm having some issues. My motherboard is a MSI Z77 MPOWER.
This is what I've done so far:
Disabled:
Limit CPUID Maximum
Power Technology
C1E Support
OverSpeed Protection
Spread Spectrum
Enabled:
Internal PLL Overvoltage
Execute Disable Bit
Intel Virtualization Tech
Then I bumped up the multiplier from 34 to 40 and I didn't touch the voltages. After booting into Windows I started a Prime95 stress test, but CPU-Z said that my CPU was only running at 3.4GHz. Going back into the BIOS though, it says 4.0GHz at the top right.
Whats wrong and why has my overclock not been applied?
