For some reason after about 5 hours of using my computer straight my USB ports malfunction, my headset kinda works the headphones work but the mic doesnt and my keyboard works, but the lights to show the state of caps lock, num lock and scroll lock don't change when this happens. I try unplugging the devices and plugging them back in, even in different ports but the devices then fail to be recognized and no longer work what so ever. The only way to temporarily fix this problem is to restart the computer, but when i restart through the start menu, the shutdown process lingers on logging off for a long period of time ( multiple hours), forcing me to hold the power button to ground the circuit, but after that the computer works fine until another 5 hours passes it all repeats it's self. Sorry for the long question, please help, this error is quite annoying, cheers!

I also need to mention that I tried to update the USB controller drivers, I have both intel and asmedia USB controlers.

Whey your done go into the utility program, found by searching in start i think, and disable USB 3 power managment. Hope this helps :)
