Hello

Recently I had to swap my hard drive for a much smaller one and give the other to a sibling. Most of the programs I used were on disc form, so I didn't have much trouble giving the drive away. Now with a fresh hard drive and a fresh start, I decided to install an FPS game I like to play. But I suddenly noticed how the game played differently now.

For example, I'm not able to move the mouse and use the keyboard at the same time. There's a slight delay in registering each instruction. My laptop is a dual core, so it should be able to handle this. I played this game before and it's obvious I no longer have a specific program that I need.

So in this FPS game, I'm moving my character, but I can't move my mouse at the same time.

I have DirectX and Nvidia PhysX and have removed these to see which works best to no avail. It's a HP G56 Notebook. There must be an option that I haven't enabled or a missing program.

Any help would be appreciated.

I was expecting at least one reply. I guess this how things are done on this forum.

Was it installed correctly and fully? Is the Hard drive seated properly?

Thanks for taking the time to reply Shenanigans. As for the hard drive being installed correctly, I can say it's relatively secured and registers on the computer properly.

Can you tell me any graphics drivers that I may install? I checked my DirectX folder and found it was completely empty. I'm not sure why this is, since I installed it and the notification said I had the latest version.

Thank You

You can try updating your graphics drivers by going to Start>Control Panel>Hardware and Sounds>Device Manager then you can find your graphics, mine is under display adapters. There you can right click and update, you may want to also make sure your keyboard and mouse drivers are updated as well.

Tried everything I could to no avail. No matter, I'll make my own way. Thanks Shenanigans
