Electrical sound coming from the CPU.

Hello, lately I have noticed that my CPU produces a wierd buzzing electrical noise. It mostly happens when I move my mouse, but it also happens sometimes under load ( for example, when i download games, the noise gets louder). I am 100% sure the noise is coming from my CPU socket.

I've took out the psu and listened, the noise was still coming from the cpu. I have tried stopping the cpu fan with my finger, the noise was still there. Is this something I should worry about? I have also tested this with another motherboard, the noise was still there. The only issue I am having is stutter in some games, but I'm not sure if they are related. The cpu is not overheating, when I was testing it it never went higher that 44C. The only thing I can tall about my cpu is that I have no thermal paste on it, but that shouldnt be the problem as the temp never goes critical.

My build:
Intel i5 3570
Corsaircx500
Corsair vengance 4gb x2
msi z77A-g43
Gtx 660 asus.

It does sound similar. But how can a cpu produce such noise? I did stop the cpu fan, and the noise was stull there. There is no sound when I am in BIOS however, which is strange.

It's probably not the cpu but something near the cpu on the motherboard.

I read that it can be a device conflict problem. Try unplugging some other cards one at a time and see if that resolves the problem.

If you have the pc stripped down to the bare minimum and it's still a problem, and you're not happy with the sound it's making, something is wrong with one of the remaining parts. I would assume that it is the motherboard.
