Hi, I am playing around on Watch DOgs and noticed my GPU is getting hotter than ever before. Even on Battlefield 4, it never hit over 77C

It idles between 25 & 33C depending on my room temp. I usually see 60 to 70s on the temp.

My cpu is fine, Hit a max of 53C on Watch Dogs maxed out on Ultra.

Here is a video showing the gpu temp starting to climb.

I have increased fan speed from default to 70%. Is this safe? Also at medium settings the temp doesnt change much at all.

Any insight would be great, thanks!

Also nothing is overclocked.

My PC Specs

AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo).
Geforce GTX 760.

Solution
83c is the factory preset Target Temp. That is the temperature at which your card decreases clock speeds and voltage in order to maintain that temp target. You have been spoiled with your ACX cooler, but now that summer is here and you're playing a game with consistent 99% GPU usage, your temps are a little higher.

Basically your temperature is exactly normal and right at your target temp. To check it, go into PrecisionX or Afterburner. You can adjust it there, but you'll likely end up reducing performance (by reducing the Temp Target) or increasing noise (by increasing the Temp Target).

Heh, I bought the GTX 760 in December and I indeed only saw low temps. Even today with an hour + on CS:Go I dont go above 56C 7 days to die I dont go above 56C. On The Forest & on Watch Dogs I am seeing a steady target range of 75 to 52-83C

I bought a 2nd 120mm fan for my Evo212 today. But it is in the mid 80s here, so I guess that would increase temps some.

I checked the Target temp on AB. It is set for 80C with fan on auto at 43%

I think Ill still buy a better case that allows for cable management as this looks a bit like C 3P0 on Bespin when Chewbacca was trying to put him back together, lol Thanks again for the info!
