I have an issue with wifi where my office is located in my basement. My main computer is ethernet hardlined to a 4 port switch which is run to my wireless router upstairs but my other wireless devices have a very poor connection. Is there a particular device that i can buy to plug into my 4port ethernet switch to put a wireless connection in my office? The solution is probably very simple I just don't know exactly the proper device to do this. Any links to any products on amazon would be super helpful too. Thanks folks.

You should be able to use any router as a AP there is a sticky on this forum and there are youtube videos. You would just plug one of the router lan ports into you switch, disable the DHCP server and change the management IP on the device. You can buy dedicated AP but generally you only do that if you want something like PoE. It is going to be cheaper to just use a router.
