CPU getting petty hot

My CPU that I am using is running a software at 20-50% constant cpu load (as a server, 24/7), and my temperatures get to about 60-70 degrees celsius, I think it is pretty hot given my CPU cooler is the H100i, what would be the probable cause of temperatures getting so high?

Without load, it gets to about 50 degrees celsius.

CPU: i7-4770K
Motherboard: Asus Z87M-PLUS
Cooler: Corsair H100i, push pull configuration, 4 fans
Case: CoolerMaster HAF XB
RAM: 24GB 1600MHz (doesn't get hot)
GPU: Sapphire HD7850 (doesnt get hot)
Ambient Temperature: 25-34 degrees celsius

My board shows about 120 degrees in HWMonitor, but when I stick a thermometer into the board's heatsink, it shows about 43-48 degrees.

Does anyone know why it gets this hot?

that is hot you have a bad sensor or your cooler is not fix as is should i suggest you to do a repaste of it with a good cooling paste also check your cpu fan if it speeding correctly ,the is no sing of the fan speed for the cpu and chassis one .

I already switched the cpu thermal paste from the stock H100i to the coollaboratory liquid pro, but the temps were still shitty.

i use the arctic cooling mx2 or mx4 and do not have to spead it like they does you should have lower temp with the h 100i cooler then this could be that the cooler not making enough contact with the cpu to cool it also check if the pump and fan on it work as they should .
