I haven't built a custom computer for over 10years so putting everything together felt completely new to me. I followed the guides that came with the components as best as I could but its possible I missed something. My problem is that the monitor just says No Signal on it when I turn on the computer. I have it hooked up to the VGA port on the back of the motherboard. I can hook up the monitor to my laptop with no problems so I know the monitor is fine. I would try to connect to the GPU but the only compatible connection would be via HDMI and I don't have an HDMI cable. I get some green lights on the motherboard light up when I turn it on and the green lights to show that both PCI ports are working on the GPU and the GPU fan turns on. The fan on the CPU cooler doesn't turn on which worries me even though I have it plugged into a fan port on the motherboard. Do I need to play with some of the switches that are on the motherboard? I don't want to touch any of them in case I mess something up. Below is the list of components I ordered taken from an email. I just removed the prices. Anyone have any ideas?

The 24 pin connector is connected to the PSU and the motherboard and I just checked that it is in properly. The power led light on the board is on. I removed the GPU and also tried a different fan connector on the motherboard for the CPU cooler but it still isn't spinning. I'll also add that the case fan that was preinstalled when I got the case does not spin when I have it connected to the motherboard. I'm beginning to think I have a faulty motherboard.

Thank you I missed that particular fan slot. That has started the fan on the cpu cooler now. Do you mean the 8pin that goes into the PCI slot on the PSU? I had that connected to the GPU when it was fitted. I also checked the PSU which had the 24 pin motherboard connector split into a 14pin and a 10 pin connector on the psu. The LED power light on the motherboard turns on when I flick the switch on the back of the PSU. The other LED is under the EZ XMP switch and turns on when I turn on the computer. Unfortunately no other progress yet.

EDIT: I see what you mean by the EPU. I have not had that connected to anything. I think I have a cable for it though. I'll google around to see if I can find out how to connect it.

Thank you, I connected the 8 pin cable to the PSU and the motherboard. My DRAM was a constant red but I realized I had not pushed the ram modules in all the way. The monitor now turns on and says to enter set up. I haven't opened the keyboard and mouse yet so I will do that now. Thank you so much. You have been an amazing help. Should I worry about the red LED where it says TPU?
