So I got this problem people and it seems I can't solve with a simply google search.

The situation is that I'm trying to install a wireless card in my Wife's PC so she can play WOW, lol and those stuff.

Now, the wireless card is completely functional as I had it installed in my own rig, which works perfect.
Also even when I install the wireless card which is PCI-E x1 in a PCI-E x16 slot, it runs normally.

Now what's rare is that when I install the GPU in the PCI-E x16 slot and the PCI-E x1 wireless card in the PCI-E x1 slot it doesn't recognize the wireless card at all, even the device manager wont find it.

Any thoughts?

My bad, forgot to tell the build.

It was an old ofice PC that I upgrade a bit so she can play some games.

Athlon II x2 260 @ 3.5Ghz

Asrock N68C-S UCC

Corsair Vengaence 4GB DDR3

Geforce 9800 GT 1GB GDD3

CoolerMaster GX450w 80plus Bronze.

The motherboard has 2 PCI-E slots, one x1 and one x16. Also it has 2 PCI slots.

I think that when the PCI-E x16 is populated the x1 is disable becuse the GPU is taking all the available lanes. but that's something that shouldn't happen as the mother has such expansion slots, that should be usable.... common sense?
