What's The Best High End Graphics Card

So currently I am using my computer for either 1080p or 2560x1440 downscaled gaming, some video editing, and I am also getting into some graphic design. I am looking for a high end graphics card preferably nvidia but I could be convinced otherwise. The two main cards I am looking at right now are the 770 and the 780. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Probably better as the 770 comes already highly overclocked anyway. I'd prefer Asus 780 - nice and cool and quiet with good overclocking headroom.

Would a 770 keep up or is the 200 extra dollars worth the bump to the 780

ok last question does the 780 overclock as well as the 770
