Heyo!, I bought a mushkin 240GB SSD and decided to install it in my new rig i made up from an old Acer motherboard and Hard drive plus a few new bits, so first off when I connect the SATA to the SSD and boot up my new rig i notice that it has Windows 7 professional on it, along with a firmware update. I decided to format the SSD so I could do a clean install of a different version of windows. After it was done formatting I ran the firmware update, installed win7 ultimate, changed the new SSD to the primary boot device in the BIOS, restarted my PC one more for good luck and booted the new drive, it was all going well until I got a blue screen. When my PC re-booted the SSD was no longer available to boot from so I just went back to my old hard drive, looked in the drive list and it had disappeared. I unplugged the SSD, powered down the PC and re connected the SSD, It showed up in the BIOS so i decided to boot it and got another blue screen after 30~ mins. I've been trying to fix it (setting SATA to AHCI etc.) but to be absolutely honest I'm clueless about what's happening even after a little research. Some help would be very much appreciated

thanks for the reply, I can do that if it happens again, I just realized however I hadn't installed the drivers for the motherboard etc. *facepalm* fingers crossed it won't happen again if it does i'll let you know.

Hope that solves the problem. Let us know if it doesn't.
