Hey! I am looking to upgrade my stock cpu cooler on my oc'd 4300 (@4.2ghz), and I want to get something that won't require removing the motherboard from my case (the rosewill ranger m has no motherboard cutout), and my gpu is the 2gb asus 7770 dcu2, and I also have a cx430 and 8gb 1333mhz ram. I want something quieter, and maybe a bit cooler (temps aren't that bad, high 30's idle, mid 60's under full load) and I just want something quieter to go along with my full room wire management fix. I've watched a few videos where people had some difficulty installing it, so if there is anybody using this with an amd socket, just want some advice. Maybe instead I can go with the arctic alpine 64 pro rev 2.0, it has the same fan size and pwm, just different form factor.

Solution
Its better to have a stand up heat sink like a tx3 or hyper 212. Im not gona lie I had to take my motherboard out to install mine. Be sure that all 4 clamps are all secured or it will show 120c temps and shut the pc down I had that problem

Yeah, but I think the intel install will be easier than the amd. I was using the same core 2 duo as you for 6 years :p. Upgraded like 3 months ago to a 500$ pc, couldn't be happier. :). Also your tag says gt 320. There is no gt320 lol. How did you add the signature like that?

You have the fan on backwards.
