I'm a super noob with heat efficiency. But I did just install a Hyper 212 EVO not too long ago, along with 2 corsair fans on it in a sort of push/pull (One blowing air into the Hyper 212, the other blowing it out, you all know what I mean, but I like to be clear when I have a concern xD)

I ran Prime 95 on the PC for 10 minutes, and CPU maxed out at 59°C, on stock speeds. it's also idling at around 38°C tonight, dunno if that's important or not.

Is that okay for the hyper 212? Or is that too high of a temp?

I mean it is air cooling so I don't expect super low temps. but I am not really sure because I am new to heatsinks, I used to use a stock AMD heatsink, and would hit like 65°C when playing games. (Never tested the stock with Prime 95)

Also the fans I'm using are low-noise & therefore low RPM, they max out at like 1400 or something like that, so that might effect it too I suppose.

More about : cpu heatsink effective

The load temperature is great. The idle one is acceptable. Nothing to worry about :) .

Thank you very much for the assurance. I'm a super noob at PC's, built this one like maybe 6 months ago, still learning everything xD

I probably should have mentioned my CPU is an AMD FX 8320, but I guess people can see that from below my post anyways haha.

Thanks again though, that makes me feel better. Also, would anyone happen to know the "danger zone" for the AMD FX 8320? My MoBo has the "threshhold for concern" set at 64°C but I doubt that's AMD's recommended operating temp. I could be wrong though.

No problem. Happy to help:) . You would be surprised how many people on this forum ask what your specs are when it is posted in your signature.

Haha yeah I noticed that in a few threads xD I'm glad I pay attention to signatures.

Thanks again, link was useful, now I know at least what temps to avoid :D
