First build is for upgradability and general purpose and this one is the best i can find for gaming right now at 1000
I've just eliminated the SLI option and the SSD and upgraded to a 780. I didn't use low quality components so no worries on that. The only thing you should consider upgrading in the future is an SSD as that HDD is not that great as a system drive.
