I'm having trouble deciding between the ASUS 760x2 4GB or the EVGA 780 6GB as a future upgrade.

I need it to be able to play every game on Ultra Settings at 5760x1080. I know the 780 can but I'm not sure if the 760x2 can. I'm looking for the best performance per dollar. Don't worry about these parts being bottlenecked by anything else.

Key details:
- Must be able to play all games on Ultra Settings at 5760x1080 resolution.
- Bottlenecking is not an issue.

760x2 Advantages:
- Better Performance
Source: GPUBoss

780 Advantages:
- More VRAM

This isn't an SLI setup, (yes I know it uses SLI technology) it's a Dual-GPU.

Here's a comparison of the 3GB 780 and the 760x2: http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-780-vs-GeForce-GTX-760-X2

SLI is way better than "only a few games" support it. A dual GTX 760 video card is overall a bit faster than a single GTX 780, even at multi-monitor resolutions, but it still may not be a slam dunk. This review includes gaming benchmarks at 5760x1080, so knock yourself out:

The 760x2 seems like a bad option for what I'm looking for a this point, so I most likely won't use it then. These charts obviously have the GTX-780 3GB and not the GTX-780 6GB. Will the doubled VRAM make a difference in my frame rates? Also, this has made me think whether or not I should wait for the GTX-780-Ti 6GB or simply get the 6GB GTX-780.

Honestly you wait to long and the maxwell series will be out. No one can answer that for you really. i say get what you can now and enjoy it. No point in postponing your enjoyment imo. just get a 780 or if you are worried it wont be strong enough get 2 4g 770s. They can be had used off amazon for like 280.
