can someone point me in the direction of a really low cost soundcard capable of pushing sound through the mini hdmi port on my gtx560 ti video card to tv. I have an old SB audigy card that doesn't support hdmi and just want a cheap 5.1 soundcard to use. There has to be some out there for under $20 usd

hdmi soundcard on new eg or amzon?

as above gtx560ti hdmi will give sound. Just need to set it to default sound device in Windows instead of onboard/Sound card.
What i do and works well is with gpu card's hdmi connected to a/v receiver which does surround and a/v receiver's hdmi out to the tv for video.
I'm guessing you have a surround sound system, but if it doesn't have an hdmi out(for picture to tv), could try optical if your motherboard has one or buy a sound card that does have or hdmi to suit the needs for your audio system.
Both AMD and Nvidia, if the gpu has hdmi, it also has a sound chip to be used via hdmi from the card.
