How does Powercolors RMA work? (Mainly in the UK)

A co-worker of mine is selling a Powercolor 280x which he won, he hasn't opened it yet so I'm thinking of buying it so I can upgrade my old 6870, but since it wasn't bought from a retailer, how would the RMA warranty work if the card were to go faulty after a few months?

Has anyone had experience with their RMA process? Are they a trusty company, haven't heard of them much but judging by the reviews of the card on a few sites, the card is pretty decent value.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

PowerColor is a good brand.
i cant say they are the best , but it shudnt make any difference.
for RMA process you would require to take additional documents like purchase receipts other specific things if in case you require to RMA it.

You can find almost every info detailed here for PC cards :
http://www.powercolor.com/us/support_warranty.asp

Additionally , register onto their site with a invoice for a RMA number.

Thanks for the reply.
In my case, since I won't have a receipt, what should I do? Register the card and I will still get the same warranty? Or will I not be getting a warranty?

You'll need to check with Citizens Advice over this one, AFAIK it's the retailer/seller who is responsible for warranty obligations here in the UK not the importer/distributor but SOMEONE must have sold it so, somewhere there must be an invoice...Of course finding it is another matter.
