Hi, guys. So, this is my first pc build, and I've got everything together and plugged in. When I turn it on, I hit delete, and it goes to BIOS, but I don't see the optical drive anywhere. I know it at least has power cuz the tray will open and close when I hit the button, but I put the disc for Windows 8.1 64bit full version in the drive, and nothing happens. I'm pretty sure I have both SATA cables plugged in correctly to the optical drive, but I could be wrong. I have a Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H mobo, and I'm using an ASUS DRW-24B1ST optical drive. I'm not sure what is wrong, or how to proceed. I believe the next step is installing Windows, but I don't know how to do it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you! =)

Nevermind. I just turned off the computer, unplugged the data and power SATA cables from the back of the optical drive, checked that the data cable was firmly inserted in the mobo, then turned it back on, and I got it to boot from the optical, and it's installing Windows now! Woot! I can't believe that worked! Lol!

P.S. Obviously, I plugged both SATA cables back into the drive before turning it back on. =)
