USB Boot from bios

hi i try to install Linux form USB i know how to open boot device menu but my USB drive don't show up there can someone please try to help me find out what the problem is?
But it works on my old laptop a ASUS Eee pc first generation

i use a ACER Aspire V5-552

It helps if you tell us what kind of compter you have and what is already installed.
That said make sure you have safe boot off. Another possibility is that your BIOS recognizes the bootable USB as a hard drive, look for it under hard drives in the BIOS boot order and promote it if it's there.
