So i order a new graphics card, a Gigabyte Radeon R9 270x to upgrade from my Sapphire HD 3870 so i can actually enjoy games. I tried uninstalling the old driver and everything, but when i install the new card and plug in the two 6 pin connectors i get nothing, everything else turns on except the card. The fans don't even spin. The DRAM light comes on on my motherboard but that's all that changes really. I've tried other Pcie slots but nothing different. When i put my old card back in it works fine, but if i try to use my 6+2 connector in that card it doesn't work, it get power but no display, only the regular 6 pin connector works. It's really starting to annoy me, i'm hoping it's not the card or the PSU, hoping it's something stupid. Thank you!
