I have a custom build computer I got a while back. Had some problems so did a complete restore with windows 7 disc however now I cannot connect to ethernet because says driver cannot be found. I'm not great with these things so after a day of looking I cannot find the driver I need everything sends me to some type of driver detective that you need Internet connection to work. If anyone could help greatly appreciated. Motherboard is ga-78lmt-s2

I've pulled the driver from the manufacturer website HERE, download it and copy it to a usb stick, then plug it into your desktop and run it. Alternatively your motherboard should have come with a driver CD, put that in and run the setup.
