Currently I'm using a 2x2 GB ddr3 ram 1600mhz. When I first installed it it was 1333mhz in bios so I changed it to 1600mhz in bios. Now I want to upgrade to a 8gb 1600mhz RAM. What are the steps I need to do to replace it?

Basically, you need to power off your system, remove the old RAM, put in the new RAM, turn on your system, go to BIOS, and change the frequency. Also, check to see if BIOS recognizes all 8 gb of RAM. By the way, what RAM are you getting?

Thx for the reply.

Old Ram specs : DDR3, 1600MHz, CL9, 1.65V, Unbuffered, Timings: 1600MHz, 9-9-9, 1.65V

New Ram : HyperX Fury, DDR3, 1600MHz, CL10, 1.5V, Unbuffered, Timings: 1600MHz, 10-10-10, 1.5V

Specs are quite different, should I be worried? Anyway the Fury ram overclocks by itself.
