I plugged only an 8-pin connector on my video card. Did it take damage?

When it starts running and if you dont have enough power it will shut down. I am amazed you can even see it in bios.

Insufficient power will not damage your GPU; it will simply refuse to start until the second lead is plugged in.

In fact the computer didn't detect it. So i checked and i saw I forgot to plug in the 6-pin connector (that's why it was so noisy). Do you think it took a physical damage on any part of the computer? Now that I plugged in the 8 and 6 pin connector I can see the BIOS. Does it mean my video card is still working?

Leaving one of the connectors out will not damage the card. It detects that it's missing and refuses to turn on.
