Solution

hmm k...well dont expect a reply in less than a week, sorry i couldnt help resolve your problem straight away, but as far as i know this ram module does not support this motherboard...you can post back here once you get your reply from Asus :)

http://www.kingston.com/us/memory/search/?partid=kvr1333d3n9/4g ...i cant find your motherboard on this list

EDIT: turns out all that had to be done was overclock the motherboard itself to 1333mhz and then the ram worked flawlessly

maybe you inserted the ram sticks in the wrong slots....check your manual for what configurations are possible and what slots should be used. Are you sure your motherboard can support the ramspeed your trying to run?....or dual-channel or tri-channel memory? ...also a link to where you bought the ram from would be helpful....check if the voltage of the ram is what the cpu requires it to be

hmm the only other problem could be the voltage for the ram....you bought 1333mhz for a 1333mhz(oc) motherboard...usually that would require overclocking the memory controller to achieve the full 1333mhz, however if you havent done any overclocking dont worry about it, but your ram will run at 1066 as that is what is supported...can i have a link to where you bought the ram for? or maybe the full name/ model number of the ram

well honestly speaking...seems like your motherboard simply doesnt support this specific ram module...the only motherboard close to yours that is supported is an Asus p5q3...

this dude here https://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20130226220236AAhP7lk had a similar issue with the same motherboard and ram you have, only difference he was trying to use 1x8gb stick...but you're using 2x4gb, nevertheless the ram sticks are the exact same model aside from the amount of ram...these sticks are simply not supported by your mobo

website says it supports the motherboard?...are you sure?....can you post the link please?...your motherboard will support a maximum of 8 gb with 4gb in each ram slot...so using 2x4gb should work

Hi, I have the same problem, however, my processor is Intel C2D E8400 3.0 Ghz

I use Hynix this model http://postimg.org/image/vorvwzz33/ of 4Gb x 2 sticks in each slot on same mobo.

My computer does not start even at power on so what could be the problem,

if I set overclock manual it says, overclock failed or overvoltage failed..

and if i set auto the computer does not start and remains power on..
