cpu temp heating

so i tried to play watch dogs, and i have a asus maximus hero vi hero and a i7- 4770k and gigabyte gtx 780 the things is that i stop playing the game and checked the tempertauress of the cpu´s cores and core and all were between 94 to 97 the cooler is a T4 cooler master, could this be a problem for my computer?

Yes. It doesn't seem that the cooler is mounted correctly. It should be able to keep temps in the safe zone better than that. You temps are at or past the point the CPU begins to throttle down to save itself. Check the mtg. If the problem continues, replace the cooler with the stock cooler and report the temps you get with that.

Also keep in mind that if re-seating the cooler and re-applying thermal paste does not work, it could be the quality of manufacturing that the chip itself went through in the factory (the TIM inside the heat spreader could maybe not be put together properly) so the chip may run hot no matter what! EDIT - If so RMA the chip.
