Hi people im a new member to this site, really would appreciate it if someone can help me with a problem I'm having with my thermal take v71 case. I have a Asus Z97-K motherboard which has three 3 pin fan connections two of them are for the chassis and one is for the CPU. I have the CPU fan and the back fan plugged in which leaves only one available connection for a fan but the problem i still have to find a connection for the top fan and the two front ones. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

I would not plug 3 fans into a single fan connector on a MB, I think they are only rated for 10W each. Better to find a splitter that gets power from the 4-pin molex cable from the PS. Sunbeam makes a nice variable voltage fan controller. But as I said, your board says it has 4-pin fan connectors, not 3-pin, at least that is what ASUS says, it makes a difference on what to get.

Why are you changing fans 200mm fans always will be quieter than 120 or 140mm fans as they turn 1/2 the speed and move 2x the air. I have the Tt overseer case with 3 200mm fans and my Intel watercooler is noisier than all three 200mm fans. My MB is Asus Rampage IV Extreme and I have ALL my fans connected to the MB. All MB fan connectors are 4 pin PWM and 3 pin connectors will work as long as you line up the lock on the back one way will offset the lock and the other way will line op the lock. I let my MB control the fan speed and have the fans set on silent. I hope this helped some
