So, i am a Youtuber. And i like to make gaming videos. So i use fraps to record my videos. And i was wondering. When i installed a new a new GPU. The Geforce NVIDIA GT 630. I thought my games would get better FPS and record Smoother. And yes. That is what happened. But, there will be some periods when the game will record great. Smooth FPS. And there will be days were my FPS will drop from 115 to 45 when i start recording. And i don'y understand that. I can't get my new computer any time soon. And also, It's only when i record then i drop FPS. Here are my settings for FRAPS.

FPS: 60
Loop Buffer: 30
Split movie every 4 G: Yes
Sound capture settings: Vista sound. Stereo

Everything i have checked.

I play games like Minecraft, Team Fortress 2. Guns of Icarus. Garry's mod. Exc

PC Specs:

AMD Athlon(tm) 7850 Dual-Core Processor

RAM:3.0 GB DDR2

Operating system: Windows Vista

Graphics card: Ge-Force NVIDIA GT 630 2GB

That is not "amazing" graphics card so it could be the reason for your low frames. But why are you recording at 60 fps? It's a wasteful framerate and stress on your computer, YouTube won't let you stream more than 30 fps one way or another. So you are capturing extra 30 frames per second for absolutely no reason.

I set my Settings to 30 FPS. And it still drops my FPS to 26. .-.

You should benchmark the Hard Drive which you use for recording your footage. It's possible it's too slow for stable recording.

Download and use CrystalDiskMark (don't mix up with Info) to benchmark your Fraps HDD. Application is pretty much self explanatory, but if you'll have trouble using it then instruction how to use it is here.
