Time Warner... I'm Fed Up...

The reason I am not calling Time Warner for this is because, when I do, this issue will be fixed for a week and I will have to re-call again for them to fix it. So the issue...

I am promised 20MB/s Download. Now they will send a guy out to "fix" this problem. But it's $50!! NO! I'm fed up with this! But why I'm here is because all of you guys are so smart!
;) . I'm more of the smarts on the computer internals itself and specs. But I'm wondering if a internal WiFi adapter card for my laptop will help, as well as a modem or router. What can I do to get 20MB/s or more?

Well....not sure what to say. The advertised speed from the ISP only really counts with a wired connection, talking directly to the modem/router.
No way they can predict what the WiFi conditions might be in your house.

The 'best spot in the house' may still suck for WiFi. Just suck a little less than the rest of the house.
