I have been having massive problems with my ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 and I have already tryed another couple of boards and had the same problem. I know I'll get alot of hate but I think it's time to move to Intel unless someone can suggest a motherboard that does not melt my room......

First I must apologize for having two similar threads up but my memory is terrible and I entirely forgot this thread was up.

My CPU cooler is a stock one for the FX 8350 but The VRM is the problem I think.

I am planning on getting a new CPU heat sink but would it solve the VRM issue?

And are there actually any motherboards that do not have ridiculously overheating VRM or must I change them in some way for them to work?

Does this MOBO have problems with VRM?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/ASRock-990FX-Extreme9-Motherboard-Express/dp/B00B7AN51I

UPDATE: So I just realized after putting my mobo under a small bit of stress that the VRM temperature is not the problem. My PC turned off without warning and I shortly after felt the VRM and CPU heatsinks and they were not very hot and definitely not a temperature at which my PC should turn off. My PSU was quite hot ( An XFX650W) so I guess it could be a problem with that although I think that it is a good quality PSU. The GPU was also very cool so I'm not sure what's going on, random voltage spikes or current problems?

So actually the heat isn't even coming from the motherboard!

I wondered why you gave no BIOS M/B temperature readings? At All!

And getting all these suggestions to boot, and no one asked you what your VRM temperatures were that you were relating to?

This thread is hilarious! I needed that! :)

Sorry Bonglord, It's really not your fault no one asked you to clarify the temperatures the VRM were supposedly outputting?
