Hello, users!
I'll start off by saying that I don't remember exactly when or how this happened, but overtime, my computer became very problematic. It has A LOT of issues, but the main ones that concern me are freezes/glitches in audio and video, and slow internet/ping. The glitches and freezes usually occur when any type of media is playing or a video game is running. The occurrences can happen every 2-3 seconds for a period of 5 minutes, and then calm down, or they can happen once every hour. Very random, I agree, which makes it really hard for me to pinpoint the problem. I have the Norton 360 2014 and I ran a full system scan and it removed some things but the problem didn't go away. Another thing that bothers me is the fact that these occurrences are almost always directly linked to my internet connection. My computer is currently 2 years old, and when it was running nice and smooth about 4-5 months ago and it had an average internet speed of 18 Mbps. Now, whenever I get these glitches, My connection lowers to 0.5 Mbs and my ping goes from 40 to 690. Please Please Please help me. I have windows 7 64bit, and this doesn't happen on any of my other systems.

If Norton picked up somethings, you need to do something extra. Run Malwarebytes (full scan). http://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/

Then, run hitman pro trial (it will remove malware for 30 days) http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro/

Thee are what you would call second opinion anti viruses.

Next I would defragmentate your hard drive.

If that didn't work, look in your task manager and see if something is using a LOT of resources. If so, and it is abnormal, get rid of it.

Honestly the best thing to do is backup what you like and then re-install windows.
