Installed a new motherboard (990FXa-UD3) with Kingston SDD ( primary with, os ) All was well until I tried to access all of my data on the Western Digital HDD. Windows no longer detects that hard drive, I have replaced the sata cable to see if that was the issue, it just doesn't pick it up.

I have not reinstalled windows because I was informed I didn't have to, I simply plugged my SSD into the new mobo and it works, also my Disk writer works too, and both can be found in BIOS.
Specs:
AMD FX 8350
Nvidia GTX 760
1.5TB Western Digital HDD ( 15EARS )
126GB KINGSTON SSD
GIGABYTE 990FXA-UD3

Have you looked in device manager to see if the drive shows up? it may be there but might not be activated or may have a different drive letter attached
