Today I bought an ASUS Maximus VI Hero and at the store I didn't notice anything weird on the mobo (dim lights) But when I got to the office to check it out better noticed this
BTlY8VK.jpg

A stain of some brownish liquid on the pcb. I haven't tested the motherboard yet to check if it is ok, thought about getting a opinion here, and maybe cleaning it with contact cleaner before powering it.
Please tell e it is not a doa! T^T

Solution
Looks like they sold you a return , that board has been used and looks like it may have suffered some thermal damage .Take it back.FULL refund and buy it at another retailer.

Doing a RMA could hav been a major money loss in case they didn't want to somehow, because the trip to the store is equal to 13usd. So I ignored the warnings here and powered it without any attachments, that was enough to light up the leds across the sound isolated section of the mobo + the onboard power button, that was enough to give me hope. Risked damaging my brand new i7 + ram sticks to get it running to check if the fans would do something. Some code debugs later, adding periferics, gpu and display...got stuck in the UEFI for a couple of hours with code 99 and AE, wouldn't boot to my ssd. After some cursing and silly ideas I got it to work properly <_<. The picture I uploaded shown the damage as something serious, but the contact cleaner managed to wipe the stain off the pcb (and 24 hours of doubt later..)
Anywho, thank you all for your feedback on my problem c:
