Hi , I have recently installed a new seagate barracuda 1tb hard drive. I want to use it for storage for my game recordings but the write speed when I test it is coming in at 20 mb!, I have exact same model of hard-drive as my primary one and get write speeds of 150mb. Is it because my primary is connected to a 6gbs sata where as my new one is connected to 3gbs sata?. I only have one 6gbs sata available on my motherboard , any help would be appreciated :)

use SATA3_1 and SATA3_2 if at all possible for your hard drive; i learned depending on the south bridge asus sometimes will make the last 2 eSATA ports... that's not what they put on the motherboard, but it happened on my ASUS board (they're all labeled SATA3, like yours are), yet it turned out my SATA3_7 and SATA3_8 ports were both eSATA.

Oh rite thanks very much for the info dude. I hope it's the two above you mentioned and not eSATA . So if i's only eSata that's left then i would need to buy a new motherboard if i wanted more storage for games recording?
