CPU runs high when playing games, after a recent RAM upgrade.

I recently upgraded my ram from 8GB of DDR3-10600, to 16GB of DDR3- Corsair Vengeance. The RAM was installed correctly, drivers installed/updated, etc. However, whenever I launch a game that wouldn't normally make my CPU spike, it now does. My computer starts getting really loud from what I assume is the fan. I checked it for dust, and cleaned what little dust there was there but it is still loud. I'm not too sure what the issue is. I have had this computer for around 3 years with no issues. I've always been able to run almost any game at max graphics without any issues until now.

My specs:
GPU - AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series
Processor - Inter Core I5 2400 @3.10 GHz
RAM - 16GB of DDR3 Corsair Vengeance
Windows 7 64 Bit

I also added a monitor after the RAM upgrade.

Try resetting the BIOS settings. Take out the CMOS battery for 30 seconds and put it back in (while the pc is off), or if there's a button next to it, you can press that for a few seconds, and it should reset your BIOS settings, and may fix your problem.

Thanks for the quick response CodenameHaswell, however I think I found the issue.

After a bit more looking into it, I downloaded CoreTemp and found out my PC is running at 55-65 Celsius on idle, it spikes to 97 C on higher end games. Looking into it more, I found out the CPU pump in my liquid cooling is showing up as failed on my thermal controls. Any ideas on how to fix this? Or should I just replace my liquid cooling?
