Greetings. (Had a similar topic in Systems).
Few questions.

1) I have read some reviews about the 'MSI Radeon R7 260X 2GB', and have heard some bad things about it. For any of you with experience with this card, can any of you disprove this?

2) Is my 'SeaSonic G 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX PSU' good enough?
AMD A8-5600K 3.6GHz Quad-Core Processor
MSI Radeon R7 260X 2GB

3) Is using an OC GPU bad if I don't plan on OCing?

Thanks in advance!

Solution

That's all you need to know about the psu.

Still to make things more clear, that psu could crossfire two of those gpu's.

The gpu comes factory overclockt so don't worry about that too. They keep it within safe parameters.

Admirable
1. I am not sure, as I haven't ever used this GPU
2. That PSU will be enough, but if you were ever planning on going for crossfire, you would need a bigger PSU
3. There is no reason that it is bad unless it costs a significant amount more, and besides, most GPU's come factory overclocked a certain amount

Thank you for your answers.
But doesn't the RAM, Hardrive, and all the other components use Watts as well? Should those be taken into consideration?

Would it be safe to swap the SeaSonic G 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX PSU for a Seasonic M12II 520W Modular PSU
Also, what's a 'crossfire?'

(Forgot to mention that the MSI R7 260X 2GB is an OC), if that makes any difference).
