what do you look for in a good motherboard?

I'm looking for a motherboard to go into my build but I don't really know what to look for. I know the basic stuff such as sli and crossfire, but how do you know if a board is good? What are good features to look for?

Good chipset. Good features eg no. usb 3/2, sata 3/2, pcie slots, ram slots and speed, uefi - for control. good power control - more power phases.

Good history - when you Google - 'problems with .... '

Well I'm going to be building it to be a gaming computer with a bit of video editing here and there, overclocking the cpu

Then you are going to want a flagship model board, which can be pretty expensive depending on which CPU that you choose.

Most likely an i7 4770k, I don't want to spend way too much money though, do you have a few suggestions to look into?

Do you recommend any good z87 motherboards to pair with a i7 4770k for around 100-150 dollars with sli capabilities, and if so could you list a few options
