Yesterday my acer aspire m5-581tg arived and i started it up as normal etc... it was running windows 8 64bit
I noticed there was no display drier installed at the time so i downloaded the latest one and tried to install it but as it got to the 'installing graphocs driver' stage (right near the beginning) it would freeze up and crash.
So after hours of trying different drivers and reinstalling windows 8 i decided to wipe my pc clean and do a fresh windows 7 64bit install.
I have done it and installed the acer support drivers i have also installed nvidia 332.21 drivers and tried to run a simple gpu test. It still fails with the pc freezing up as it starts and then BSOD. The gpu doesent render anything at all before it goes down.
i have gpuz installed and it checks out that the card is ok, but i did notice the Gpu usage is at 0% however the temp is 54 and the core is at 645mhz memory is also active at 900 or so.
Can i update the bios will that help? I need someone with good experience to tell me weather to swend this back or if it can be fixed? please i will send it back tommorrow if i cant figure it out.
